First of all, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!
As 2012 starts I like to have a plan for the year ahead, nothing too rigid but a general direction with some clear goals in mind. Have you got plans? If not, now is a great time to make them.
This year we have a number of projects in the pipeline that involve expanding Media Music Now and developing a few related services. Below is an outline of these.
My Lists
We are creating a list system on Media Music Now where users can create lists and add royalty-free music tracks to them. These can then be accessed at a later date and even emailed to clients who require a short list of music.
Sound Effects
We are currently adding thousands of sound effects to a new part of Media Music Now. Our sound effects library will offer affordable effects for all media projects and is a natural extension of our current services.
New Website for Royalty Free Music Collections
We are developing a new website with downloadable royalty-free music collections. This will complement our current service while offering a more cost-effective solution for clients looking for bulk licensing. For users who want more variety, individual tracks will always be available from Media Music Now.
Public Safe Music
We have often been asked for background music that can be used in public venues without having to pay PRS / ASCAP etc. We are soon to add around 30 hours of venue-safe music to our library. In addition, we are aiming to create a streaming service later this year.
Beanstalk Audio Distribution
In addition to providing a music sales platform for many composers, we are also moving into audio distribution and have already started talks with a few composers/publishers.
